Winter 2016 Collection: Deconstructionism

The Winter 2016 Collection of HOUSE OF V is dedicated to the late architectural giant Dame Zaha Mohammed Hadid. As the first female architect to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004, the Iraqi-born British architect designed some world famous work including The Peak Club in Hong Kong and Kurfürstendamm in Berlin

Heydar Aliyev Center

With inspirational ideas from some of the world’s most remarkable architectural master pieces including the Dancing House in Prague, Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul and the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, the collection makes an extensive use of ivory, silver grey, granite gray and carbon gray color to convey a post-modern design ambience. Meanwhile, the use of flannel wool, striped wool and plaid fabric are selected as the crucial materials for its winter collection, exhibiting the extrinsic traits of any architectural pieces. By incorporating an architectural concept into design, the collection produces an attachable collar. By matching with a scarf and a belt, it reveals the master’s design wisdom and her depth in constructing rich and complex layering patterns.
