The Story behind S/S17
We recognise a rising demand for practical fashion with minimalistic designs and uniqueness. This marked the birth of HOUSE OF V. With the shared belief in minimal silhouette with energetic design details within the team, we create pieces that are both stylish and original.
We love to visit museums, furniture and lifestyle stores and also to get inspiration from special architectures during overseas travels. For instance, We have visited Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in Spain, designed by American architect Frank Gehry, which the architectural elements influence my design concepts.
Inspired by the Deconstructivist architecture of American architect Frank Gehry and swimming pool features found in modern resorts, the collection carries these elements and our own utilitarian aesthetic.
A mixture of materials is used, such as crinkle cotton, heavy weight linen jacquard, washed linen and silk to create wavy water texture and subtle crinkle effect.
Attention to details is the key, presented by fluid cutting panels, silhouettes with a mixture of carefully chosen fabrics and colours.
